the city thrives. in the middle of the arctic wasteland, the city thrives. the rich and the powerful bloom along with it, living in a luxury that serves as a stark contrast against the ice and snow that surround the skyscrapers and spires. to aid such growth, of course, ugly trades have grown in turn. the worst of these practices are carried out by those known as sherpas, agents who are employed to take people out into the snow, kill them, and dispose of the bodies. they live outside of the city, living (for the most part) off of the land, until called in to take care of a new victim. although most sherpas are free agents, there are those that are held in retainer by the big families or influential companies. those that do maintain their independence in the market often require the assistance of an agent or middleman — someone who will receive, vet and forward potential contracts onto the men and women living on the ice. suzie fichner is one such agent, serving as both a contact and bankroll for a sherpa named charlie cole. officially the personal assistant to one of the more prominent members of the city's aristocracy, suzie plays all sides of the field evenly when it comes to shuffling jobs charlie's way. herself not too fond of bloodsport, she has been known to contract charlie out personally in order to further her own agendas.
